Everything here used to sit in the drive's root folder. Twenty-three clickable files greeted anyone who plugged the drive in, and the first thing a non-technical user had to do was work out which of them applied to their computer — before anything had even run.

The root now holds three things: the two START HERE files and a short guide. Everything else lives here.

File What it is
Windows-Menu.bat · Mac-Menu.command Menu of every tool below
Windows-Diagnose.bat · Mac-Diagnose.command Health check, collects logs for a bug report
OpenClaw-Doctor.bat · Mac-OpenClaw-Doctor.command Read-only diagnosis from OpenClaw itself
OpenClaw-CLI.bat · Mac-OpenClaw-CLI.command Drop into the raw openclaw CLI
Windows-Install.bat · Mac-Install.command Copy the drive's contents onto this computer
Windows-IntranetFix.bat · Mac-IntranetFix.command Fix a corporate proxy blocking your model endpoint
Windows-LocalModel.bat · Mac-LocalModel.command Set up an offline local model
setup.sh · setup.bat · setup.ps1 Developer build: fetch Node.js + OpenClaw into ../app/
Config.html Redirect to Settings, kept for older links
U-Claw.html · SkillHub.html Reference pages

If you move a script out of here

They all resolve the drive root as "one level up" from wherever they sit. Running one from somewhere else will not find app/ or data/.

Naming

The entry points are START HERE - Windows.bat and START HERE - Mac.command, with a hyphen rather than brackets. cmd.exe treats ) as the end of an IF (...) block, so a filename containing brackets breaks every echo that mentions it inside a block — which is the flash-exit class of bug that tests/windows-launchers.test.mjs guards against. The hyphen avoids it entirely.
